Over the past four years, we have advanced community safety through new pedestrian signage, speed radar signs, improved school zone measures, expanded crossing guards, traffic studies, and partnerships with school boards and the health unit, and while progress has been made, there is still important work ahead to make our neighbourhoods safer.
We will continue to prioritize improving access to primary care close to home through ongoing advocacy, partnerships, and investment, recognizing that while progress has been made, there is still significant work left to achieve reliable, timely health care for all residents.
Our community halls, arena, parks, and gathering spaces are the hearts of our neighbourhoods, bringing people together, building connections, and creating opportunities for families and youth. While significant investments have already been made to improve and modernize these community spaces, there is still more work to do to ensure they remain safe, accessible, and welcoming for future generations.
Steady, respectful leadership means choosing to be part of the solution at the Springwater Council table through civility, integrity, accountability, and fact-based debate. Disagreement is healthy, but dysfunction, personal attacks, misinformation, and political theatrics have eroded public trust and left residents frustrated and disappointed, which is why I am committed to the Elect Respect pledge. Respectful leadership and constructive dialogue must remain at the heart of public service.
Over the past four years, we have strengthened Springwater’s economic future by supporting local businesses, growing the Elmvale BIA, attracting new investment, and building a collaborative vision that we will continue advancing to create lasting opportunities for residents and businesses.
